Welcome,

We are hoping that you came to this discussion from the new Community College tool: Changing Lenses, Changing Practices – and that you have comments or questions to share with the creators of the tool, or other users.

We would love to hear your first impressions of this tool and then we really hope you will use it and come back to tell us about how it worked. What difference it makes in your college and so on.

Of course we also want to know if you find problems or have suggestions about what more we need to produce to help your upgrading department and all the support services for your literacy and essential skills students use every aspect of this tool.

Waiting to hear from you!

The creators of the college tool….

This tool is useful for many reasons.First, if you have been in a violence situation, to learn and share with someone who is in these kind of situation and how it affects our learning. It’s important to have knowledge about violence.

Hello all, my name is Nadine Sookermany and I am one of the developers of the tools we are talking about here. I am a Community Literacy Worker at Parkdale Project Read and a college educator at George Brown College in Toronto. I would love to talk more about the ways the tool is useful to educators, administrators and other members of the college community, as well as share more about ways we can address issues you are facing in your environment…gaps, challenges, successes, etc.

Looking forward to the discussion.

nadine

Welcome Nadine – glad you’ve joined in – i can’t wait to read more discussion here as people actually start exploring the college tool in depth.

I’ve just sent word out across the country about all three new tools – hopefully word will begin to filter out – and folks will begin to join us here!
